Doctrinal Boundary Stones
1. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are one and are co-eternal and co-equal, omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent.
2. God created the earth and all that is within it, making man in his own image. He is active in our world, answering prayers and sustaining the universe until the time he chooses to end it.
3. Jesus came from heaven to earth, was born of a virgin, was fully God and fully man, performed miracles and lived a perfect, sinless life in the flesh.
4. Jesus was crucified and died on the cross as payment for the sins of mankind in order to reconcile us to God the Father. He was buried, then raised on the third day and returned to heaven.
5. Jesus is the head of the church and we are to submit to his Lordship
6. The sixty-six books of the Bible are God's inspired Word, infallible and complete, the divine and final authority for His people and His church.
7. Every person has fallen into sin, and has separated himself from God through his own choices.
8. Jesus will return to the earth, at Gods appointed time, to bring it to an end and judge all men. Each individual will be bodily resurrected, the Christian to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord in Heaven, the unbeliever to everlasting conscious punishment in Hell.
9. Salvation is a matter of God's grace; we can do nothing to earn it.
10. Having faith in Jesus as God’s son and Lord, repenting from a self-serving lifestyle and from sin, confessing Jesus Christ is Lord and is the Son of God publicly, and baptism by immersion are necessary for salvation.
11. The Holy Spirit indwells each Christian, and guides, instructs, and empowers believers to live in obedience and service to God.
